GRAHAM DINES has been Chairman of Suffolk Coastal Conservative Association since March 2014, having been a member of the Executive since 2012, a year after retiring as the Political Editor of the East Anglian Daily Times.
As Political Editor, he was a member of the influential Lobby at the Houses of Parliament and was a frequent visitor to the European Parliament in both Brussels and Strasbourg. In 2009, he visited Israel and the Palestinian West Bank as a member of a delegation organised by the European Journalism College at Maastrict and has also been on journalism delegations organised by the EJC to the European Central Bank in Frankfurt and EU funded projects in Portugal.
Born in Portsmouth in 1947, Graham lives in Felixstowe, has been married to Joyce since 1976, and they have one son Nicholas, who is a Conservative councillor in the London Borough of Enfield. Graham's hobbies are travel, walking the pet basset hound Sydney, and playing bridge.
